First off, HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!
I hope you all enjoy a beautiful day with your loved ones, sharing memories and being grateful for one another, but most importantly pigging out to tons of food and not regretting one bit of it!
Also, one of my many thanks goes out to all my friends, family, supporters, followers, and anyone who has taken the time to help me along my blogging journey. Without you guys, I wouldn't have been able to take on such a project. I love you all!
I absolutely love days like these! The weather is perfect and sunny, it isn't too cold out, and the fall leaves are perfectly decorated on every inch of the sidewalk. Literally, the epitome of a Jersey autumn day. So I figured I'd dress up a little in celebration of such a beautiful day and remember in this post about the advantage of living with four girls? Well, I did it again: I borrowed my roommates' clothes. But like I said, ain't nothing wrong with sharing when they have such nice clothes, too! This cream sweater is perfect for fall days and probably something we should all incorporate in our wardrobe for this season. I love looking in thrift stores for baggy sweaters, but for cropped ones like this, Forever 21 has a pretty good selection. The color was perfect to pair with my other roommate's shift dress. It's the Forever 21 affordable version of this Zara shift dress and it's great for layering underneath the pattern since it stands out against the cream sweater. But since the outfit was pretty black and white, especially with my heart suspender tights that added some girly flare, I accessorized with a tan scarf and gold accents. Also, this purse that my roommates got me for my 21st birthday was the perfect finishing touch to complete the look since it kept to the color palette. I must say, I was pretty pleased with how this outfit came out...and all thanks to my roommates' closets!
Happy Thanksgiving,
Mai Sunshine
Style Tip: Since the chunky scarf and big sweater added a lot of weight to the top half, I wore a dress that would show my legs to balance out the heaviness on top. But wearing tights is definitely a must for this season so wear it under your skirts and dresses for your outfits!
