The snow is back! And colder than before...which made shooting this outfit a real, real struggle. But nevertheless, I was warm in my trusty knit beanie and tons of layers. Especially with my J. Crew sweater find at my local thrift store for just $6! Now that's definitely something you don't come across often. I was worried the cowl neck sweater was too three years ago, but honestly, the burnt orange color and knit just drew me to it. And might I add that it was perfectly warm for this polar vortex sort of weather? I added a print blouse underneath to lighten up the outfit, especially against an imitation leather skirt and black tights. Which is also why I chose a brighter alternative to the black shoes since most of the outfit is already black. Also, a special shout out to one of my roommates for this beautiful coat to top off the outfit. I love the military cut and buttons for an extra umph to the look. A winter chic look for that evening snow.
So while this snow seems to be staying here for a while on the east coast, might as well enjoy it, right? From the wise words of Miss Frozen herself, "Do you want to build a snowman?" (Sorry, I had to.)
Sincerely,
Mai Sunshine
Style Tip: Have a print blouse peaking underneath a bulky knit sweater to not only to contrast the look but also avoid dark color blocking.
