So I may be delayed in this particular series since summer is basically over, which means so are the music festivals, but let's just say this is my way of savoring every bit of summer sun I can by wishfully thinking. I have yet to go to a music festival but seeing all the different ones like Coachella and Bonaroo and Lollapalooza has me envious of everyone who's gone. I would love to hear various artists perform live in such a carefree and wild environment and of course, surrounded by the most unique street styles. That's why I decided to play dress up of my own--not to mention being on vacation in California has me feeling boho chic--and come up with different outfits I'd wear if I were to attend one of these festivals. And maybe one day, I'll actually get to go to one...even land a feature in Refinery29 for my style (okay okay, overstretched it there). But until then, a wheat grass in the suburbs of New Jersey will have to do.

My first look is simple and white since that has been a popular trend this season. I'm sure some of you remember this favorite boho top of mine from one of my first posts here that I found at my local flea market for $8. I still wear it frequently since it's easy to wear and super comfy. I wanted to keep the main focus on the top so I paired it with white high waisted shorts and tied a light denim chambray around the waist to add a subtle contrast. Throw on some brown cowboy-like boots and I'm basically ready to dance the day away at a pretend music festival.

Look two of the series will be up tomorrow! See how else I do boho chic in the next street style.

Wishfully thinking,
Mai Sunshine

Style tip: I tucked in the front of the shirt to show the high waisted shorts and chambray so that there is some textures
