Neutral Comfort

I'm currently working part-time in the city, which basically means I'm lugging around a heavy bag with my laptop and stuff on one shoulder and another big bag of clothes on the other all around the blocks of Midtown. And let's just say it's not the prettiest sight of me during rush hour (hint: lots of sweat, messy hair, and bad-postured running). So I'm huge on the comfort level, both clothes wise and on my feet, and I bring a bunch of extra clothes with me if I have to change into something nicer, hence the huge bag of clothes on the one shoulder. This one-piece jumpsuit is the easiest to slip on when I'm rushing out the house (except for going to bathrooms but I won't go into that) with my favorite comfy shoes: my Nikes, which makes running around in the hustle and bustle of NYC so much more efficient. And since it was raining this particular day, or rather misting, which is the worst kind of weather for this girl's hair, I hid that frizzy lion mane of mine under a slouchy knit beanie for maximum coverage. I thrifted this trench over the summer and I'm so excited I can finally bring it out and style it. Since the jumpsuit already had a bit of delicate detailing with the lace v-neck, the beanie and oversized jacket balanced it out. This entire look is comfy and casual while keeping it city chic with an edge in neutral tones.

Please don't give us any more gloomy fall days, east coast weather.

Hopeful wishing,
Mai Sunshine

Style Tip: Keep the look simple, especially with a jumpsuit like this. You don't want to take away from the details so add neutral colors and basic accessories.
