Another Halloween, another fun costume. I'm excited to share my ootd for this weekend!
If you know me, you know that I'm kind of a Star Wars nerd (and by kind of, I mean absolutely). And yes, I am more than ecstatic--perpetually overjoyed--about the new movie. And even more yes, I already bought my movie tickets in advance and planned a Star Wars movie marathon for the weekend before (all fans are more than welcome). So naturally, it was only fitting for my Halloween costume this year to be Star Wars related: a DIY rendition of R2-D2. At first, I wanted to dress up as Padme in her all-white badass outfit (reference photo
). But it wasn't creative enough for my fashion liking, especially since I'd probably wear something similar as an everyday outfit. It wasn't until I came across a NY Comic Con picture of someone who also did R2-D2 as her cosplay and used that as inspiration. After buying all my materials for under $20, my costume is successfully done and I couldn't be more pleased--so pleased that I may (most likely) wear this to the movie premiere.
