For Giving

Ironically enough, I wrote this during the season of giving (Thanksgiving, to be exact) and when the act of giving gifts was top of mind as we entered the holiday fervor. This time of year tends to bring up some less-than-ideal feelings for me and I always try to reframe the meaning behind it all. The meaning behind this particular piece is to find the in-between of feeling generous as we are in the midst of the season of giving and feeling empty when some of us feel extra lonely during this time.
