I've been lucky enough to be nominated for the Liebster award by some beautiful bloggers so I'll just credit them both:

So what is the Liebster Award?
It’s a way to get new bloggers with less than 200 followers more recognition and also become exposed to other bloggers out there while discovering new ones too. If you get nominated then you must answer the 11 questions set by the person who nominated you, and in turn nominate another 11 bloggers and set your own 11 questions for them to answer!

The official rules are:

1. You must link back to the person that nominated you.

2. You must answer the 11 Liebster questions given to you by the nominee before you.

3. You must pick 11 bloggers to be nominated for the award with under 200 followers.
4. You must come up with 11 questions for your nominees to answer.
5. You must go to their blogs and notify your nominees.

So here are the questions JooJoo asked me:

1. If you could be any color what would you be and why?

My favorite color is blue because it reminds me of the ocean and its tranquility. Whenever I look at it, it makes me feel more calm.

2. What is the meaning behind your blog title?

Haha, this answer is actually in my About Me section but I'll answer again. Anyways, Mai Sunshine has been a nickname that has unintentionally stuck around ever since I used it as my username for all my social media accounts. I guess it just sticks? The Little was added because someone else had already taken maisunshine.com.

3. Dream job?

Omg, my ideal job would definitely be working with Fashion magazines in the Marketing department. I've always dreamed of working with fashion but am lacking experience so I'm hoping my blog still demonstrates my strong passion for it.

4. One thing about yourself that not many people know?

Hmmm, I really don't know what people don't know about me but I learned a few weeks ago that my third toe is the same length as my second toe. Yeah that was really gross to publicize but I find it so cool that I just found this out.

5. What made you decide to start blogging?

Haha, again, I started blogging because I wanted some sort of outlet where I could document all the ideas I had for styling outfits. I couldn't where them all the time at school so I figured a blog would help me showcase my strong interest with fashion and hopefully assist in landing a fashion marketing job.

6. What language do you wish you spoke fluently?

Hmm...English? It's sad that I can't speak Vietnamese fluently but I can speak enough of it to have a basic conversation with my grandparents.

7. What song is your guilty pleasure?

So lately, I've been really into One Direction songs. Maybe it's my embarrassing crush on Harry Styles or the simple fact that they're so catchy but I just can't stop singing Best Song Ever lol

8. What are you most proud of?

Wow, this is a deep question haha but looking back on my life so far and how far I've come, I would definitely say that I am most proud of this blog. This is something I wouldn't have dreamed of doing last year at all because I didn't think I had the credentials or even unique enough styling to stand out amongst other fashion bloggers but with the support of all my friends, I gained enough courage and confidence to do something completely out of the ordinary for me that followed my goals.

9. What social justice cause do you believe most strongly in? (haha sorry I had to)

Oh god, this is something I won't get into just because I'm not a die-hard advocate of any specific social justice cause. I do have my personal opinions though, but it's not something I like to announce just because I'd rather spend more time researching and understanding exactly what I believe in before I state my case.

10. If you could change your name to anything what would it be?

Honestly, I wouldn't change my name. As frustrating as it is to hear all the crazy mispronunciations of my name, I actually like how it's different and memorable.

11. Favorite quote?

Ooo, this is my favorite question. I have so many quotes I love, but my absolute favorite is by F. Scott Fitzgerald from the book The Great Gatsby: "I hope she'll be a fool--that's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful, little fool."

1. What is the most important thing you want your readers to take away from your blog?

So I started this blog thinking I wanted to be different from the rest somehow to stand out. And I thought, the only reason why I got into fashion so much was because I didn't have any when I was younger. I wore the most hideous clothing, and since then, I've only bought things that were affordable for me but still looked good. Therefore, the main idea of my blog is for readers who can't keep up with the prices of big fashion brands that famous bloggers wear to see how affordable and cheap clothes can still look fashionable and unique.

2. If you got a tattoo, what would you get, where would you get it?

Haha I don't really want to get a tattoo, but if I had to, it would something super simple and small probably either on my wrist or on the inside of my elbow, like a little above. Still not sure what I'd get but probably a word that encompasses me or a sentimental date or something. I don't know.

3. Favorite song of all time?

I wouldn't say it's my favorite song of all time because I have a lot but one song I can never get sick of listening to is Vindicated by Dashboard Confessional.

4. If you could go back to any time period, what would it be?

Of course, the roarings 20's. The era of flappers and parties and money. Basically, the time period described in The Great Gatsby because the style was so fun and different.

5. What is your guiltiest pleasure?

I mentioned this before but I listen to a lot of Disney music or One Direction.

6. What is your favorite celebrity couple?

The power couple, Jay-Z and Beyonce. Duh.

7. What crazy crayola crayon color best describes you?

Uh...crazy? Robin's Egg Blue.

8. If you could live in any country other than your own, where would you choose?

Anywhere in Europe. Spain or Greece or France.

9. What is your favorite holiday?

Christmas! Everyone is always in a happy and kind mood and the smell of Christmas cookies. And I get to watch Love Actually over and over.

10. If you had an entourage with 3 celebrities, who would they be?

Vanessa Hudgens, Emma Stone, Justin Timberlake
