So looking at this post, I just realized how I used the same color palette as my last outfit post...weird! I must say, I do have an aesthetic affinity to blues and greens. BUT the two outfits are like completely opposite so it's okay! 

Anyways, this look is more grunge meets girly with tons of layering. After all, fall is about the mastery of layering clothes. So while the weather is still enjoyable and appropriate for skirts, I decided to bring out this old camo jacket I bought at the Rose Bowl Flea Market in LA last summer for $10. (Side note: if you haven't been, I highly recommend spending a Sunday morning here at least once in LA). Camo jackets run around $30+ nowadays at regular retailers but if you get the real thing, it's actually way cheaper. And I know styling this camo jacket can be daunting because of it's bagginess and loud pattern but the trick is to pair it with solid colors. That's why I layered a light black and white graphic tee (for $6 at Zara!) and light denim chambray underneath to tone down the jacket. I paired it with a crochet skirt (for $2 at Cotton On!) to make the outfit a little girlier and wearable. The style of the skirt balances out the bagginess from the top and the black color pulls all the other colors together. 

Wear as much light clothing as possible before colder weather comes. This is the perfect time to experiment different styles and outfits without worrying about being too cold or too hot.

Style Tip: As I've mentioned above, camo jackets can be casually worn by pairing it with solid colors. Stick to tighter fitting bottoms to balance the bagginess of the jacket.
