Warm and Fuzzies

Don't you love it when you find vintage designer pieces? Don't you love it even more when you can wear it as part of your everyday wardrobe? But isn't it even more amazing when you found it in your mom's closet? Yeah, basically the back story of how this knit DKNY sweater came about. It's unbelievably thick and warm, and totally wearable in anyway. This time, I went for a really casual look with simple colors. I paired the knit sweater with another sweater...it's completely allowed by the way. I mean, what better way to stay warm than to wear sweaters over sweaters! And one of my favorite cardigans this season is my fuzzy cheetah print one I found at Marshalls for $20. Fuzzy sweaters are everywhere these days and I don't see why not. They're so soft and comfy, not to mention, pretty fun to pet also. And since the colors of the cardigan were similar to the knit sweater's, I wasn't afraid to pair them together. I kept the bottom simple with my black jeans and black boots just because I already had a lot going on on top. But I did throw on an orange turban headband to add a bit of color...and to cover up my bad-ish hair day, all while keeping my ears warm. A very simple look with a pop of fuzzy print.

Style tip: Don't be afraid to layer up sweaters. Especially for my east-coasters, the weather is just not being our friend this season so wear sweaters on sweaters. A fuzzy cardigan is a great way to create dimension to distinguish from the knit underneath.
