Happy almost spring!

I'm still mad about plaid, even though winter is almost over. But who's to say you can't transition patterns into the next season? Especially when you can have fun mixing prints. Here I paired it with my light denim railroad striped boyfriend jeans. I'm not much of a jeans person or at least you'll rarely see me in them, even in the winter, but when it comes to boyfriend jeans, they're just too comfortable to resist. I found these babies at Aeropostale online for an affordable $13! I've been looking for a few pairs since the beginning of fall and fortunately found two (the other one's here) for ridiculously low prices. And now that the weather is warming up, I'm wearing these jeans as much as I can. Anyways, I didn't have any problem mixing the stripes with the plaid simply because I can...but also because the stripes are so subtle that they wouldn't clash with the plaid but they were also a nice touch of pattern to contrast. I kept the rest of the look simple with a staple knit sweater and my thrifted oversized blazer. I added my favorite heels for a girly edge. Casual and cool.

What winter trend will you keep for spring?

Plaid-ly in love,
Mai Sunshine

Style tip: I paired a light sweater with my light denim to contrast the loud plaid scarf and dark blazer. Also, I made sure my sweater rest nicely above my hip to elongate my legs since boyfriend jeans are baggy enough to make you appear shorter and my blazer was already oversized.
