The Holiday Series: Gold and Glow

It's been a while since I've done my usual outfit series for special occasions but in light (haha, get it?!) of the holiday season, I thought I'd bring them back with a twinkling twist. String lights can make any setting instantly romantic and I wanted to do something a little different with this outfit series to reflect all the light decorations on streets and houses (my favorite is driving late at night alone and seeing all these beautiful illuminations). It's also probably why the holiday season is my favorite time during the year because everything is so pretty and lovely. 

So my first outfit is probably familiar-looking if you've been following since my early blogging days. I've worn this dress and bralette as a summery ensemble here. But there's nothing wrong with repeating an outfit and changing it up. The outfit is simple and adaptable, and I love the gold and maroon combination, especially for the holiday season. Without revealing too much, a glimpse of the bralette adds a subtle sexiness but the shapeless dress and pearl necklace balances it out with some class. 

I hope everyone's getting their holiday shopping and cooking/baking done! It's crunch time and my last-minute self is running around like a mad woman. But I love it anyways, haha.
