As a fashion blogger, it is almost impossible to avoid the classic question "How would you describe your style?" Most people would assume that being the crazy style feen I am with such strong passion for all things clothing-related, I would at least be able to describe my steeze. But I don't. In fact, I can barely collect enough "fashion terms" to even capture what I think is my style. "Chic", "sophisticated", "boho", "street", etc. have become so cliche and vague that they wouldn't accurately depict what my specific style is. And I would hate to think I can only limit myself to a specific genre or category. I envision my aesthetic based on what I feel and how it reflects my character. The rest is

.
What I end up telling most people is that I don't have one, or at least not defined by a few words. My outfit process is spontaneous and motivated by mood. To me, its a routinely puzzle I enjoy solving simply because it's a form of creative therapy for me. Whether I end up looking "city chic" or "girly boho", I wear what makes me feel and look good. And I think that's how personal style should be determined, anyways. It's about self-expression in materialistic form so why condemn yourself to a restricted category when you can be anything you want, however you feel. That's not just my motto for fashion either, but with life in general. I'd rather be permitted the freedom to define my character by my own terms under my own circumstances. And that's a personal promise.
With that being said, let me take this moment to introduce my new favorite eyewear brand,
based in France. Their hand-polished acetate quality frames make them designer worthy status not to mention, the styles are completely unique. And the best part, they are super inexpensive, especially for the quality and styles.
The frames and lenses are provided straight from their workshops, therefore there is no stock nor intermediates to high margins making it possible to sell them at affordable prices.
I could not be more happy with the few Polette eyewear I've received so far and definitely expect more future posts with my favorite picks.
