Welcome to the new and improved, subtly matured, and happily refreshed Little Mai Sunshine.

I admit, I've been on a hiatus for quite some time now and maybe a bit too extended for my blog's own good but I promise, it was all for good reason. At one point, my life was moving too fast and I slowly began losing grip of my mental state. Suddenly, I was watching my life go on without me as I frantically picked up the crumbled pieces of what I used to know while catching up to what I was afraid to face. And it was exhausting trying to keep up with this cyclical war in my head.

I felt lost and empty, and questioned what exactly made me who I am if what I felt didn't feel right. When I looked into a mirror, I barely recognized myself.

Then one day, I decided it was time to stop--shed the skin of mental confusion and strip away the emotional mess that rooted me too far deeply. I told myself it was time for a

new beginning

. So I shut myself from the world to refocus on personal decisions. I dumped my mind of mistrusted thoughts to start anew and refreshed--a mental vacation to come back with a clear definition of who I wanted to be.

The first thing I wanted to revamp and refresh was this blog. With such a long break from the blogging routine, I wanted to present something significantly different this time around. Little Mai Sunshine is quickly approaching the two-year mark and it was time for a little makeover for the outdated site. It needed a confidence boost in character and an extended reflection of the new me. After a few months of constant meetings, photoshoots, and brainstorm sessions, I can

certainly

say the blog got a pretty good facelift. Everything from a new site design to new outfit looks to new project ideas, I wanted to bring a whole different level to my blogging game not only to visually articulate my serious commitment to this passion but also to pursue endeavors beyond my comfort zone. This blog is more than a fashion outlet for my personal expression; it's a business venture for a creative enthusiast wandering through the real world abyss.

Here's to the beginning of a new chapter.  Still a learning process for me, but we'll take this exciting and unfamiliar journey together and let the leaves fall where they may.
